Trevyn Despain, PT, DPT, CCI
Trevyn attended University of Ulster in Northern Ireland where he received his Bachelors and Masters degree in Physical Therapy in 1997. Trevyn finished his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2020 and is a professor at University of Saint Augustine, San Marcos in their DPT program. Trevyn and his wife Lisa bought Brockton Physical Therapy in 2007. Since then they have continued to grow the company, creating a popular Physical Therapy clinic here in Riverside, CA. Trevyn's favorite aspect of physical therapy is working with complex cases; Whether it is multi-part injuries, delicate neck issues or cases in which it is unclear exactly what the problem is. Trevyn is always eager to get creative and find the treatments that will give his patients the results they need and have come to expect from him. When Trevyn is not working, he enjoys fly fishing, off-roading with his sons and spending time with his family.
Rachel Rios, PT, MsPT
Rachel is from Toronto, Canada but fell in love with California back in 2001 and made it her goal to move here permanently. Rachel graduated from the California State University, San Bernardino in 2004 with a Bachelor's degree in Biology. In 2008, she earned her Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto. In 2009 and began working as a physical therapist.
Since then, Mrs. Rios has been treating patients with all types of orthopedic conditions. She's constantly improving her clinical skills through regular participation in manual therapy and continuing education courses. She is currently studying to be a yoga instructor and hopes to incorporate that into treatment for appropriate patients to help them further and transition out of therapy back to regular life and self-management. She's married to her wife Scarlette and they enjoy all types of activities that life in California affords them including hiking in the local mountains, visiting the beach, surfing, paddleboarding, kayaking and snowboarding. In her spare time, she likes to play guitar and piano and will often burst out into song in the clinic whether you like it or not. Rachel is also a yoga instructor who teaches yoga classes to groups and privately in the clinic and in clients homes
Jennifer Fernandez DPT, OCS
Jennifer graduated from UCLA in 2007 with a Bachelor's Degree in Physiological Sciences.She then went on to Azusa Pacific University where she graduated with a Doctor in Physical Therapy in 2010. She then went on and completed an orthopedic residency program in 2011, in June 2012 she received her OCS. Jennifer is currently In the process of getting CAPTEE certified in Pelvic Health PT. Her interest is focused on pelvic pain and pains that affect pregnant and postpartum women. She has been a Physical therapist for 9 years and has been with us at Brockton PT for almost 1 year. When Jennifer is not at work she enjoys going to Dodger games, going to the movies, playing games with her kids and being a boy mom.
Ciara Scott, DPT
Ciara graduated from Andrews University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree. She then left the cold weather and traveled to California where she received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Loma Linda University in 2018. After graduating, Ciara jumped right into outpatient orthopedic work and gained experience treating all kinds of orthopedic conditions as well as vestibular disorders. While working, she attended a year-long seminar course in orthopedics that further developed her clinical reasoning and manual treatment skills. Even though she deeply enjoys treating orthopedic conditions, Ciara found her passion when she took her first pelvic floor PT course! In 2019 Ciara started treating pelvic floor patients and fell in love with the specialty. She is currently in the process of getting certified in pelvic floor and women's health issues. She then found BPT 2 years after graduating from PT school and has been with us ever since. In her spare time, she loves going for walks, drawing, painting, eating good food, and watching movies with friends and family.
Jason Herrera, DPT
Jason graduated from Arizona State University in 2014 with a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology. He then worked as a physical therapy aide at Brockton PT for three years before being accepted into the DPT program at Western University of Health Sciences. Now after graduating in 2021 and receiving his DPT degree, Jason has returned to Brockton as a licensed physical therapist. Jason enjoys working with all types of patients including orthopedic, neurological, athletic, and geriatric. He is happily married to his wife Ileana. Together they enjoy traveling around the world to countries such as Costa Rica, Jamaica, Italy, Spain, France, and Mexico. He also enjoys hiking with his dog and attending sporting events.
Laura Brennan O'Lannerghty, DPT, CIDN
Laura Brennan (LB) is from Franklin, TN and got her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Saint Louis University in Missouri in 2017. She has worked in a PT clinic first as an aide and registrar since she was 18, and now working her dream job as a PT. She has strong orthopedic clinical skills but having moved around 3 times in the last 5 years for her fiancés job, she has been able treat a variety of conditions and patients in many different settings/environments. As a past competitive Irish dancer, with a background in gymnastics and ballet as well, she enjoys working with dancers, gymnasts, and athletes of all ages. She's getting married December 2022 and lives with her fiancé and their 2 rescue dogs, Quinn and Lizzie. They love living on the west coast now where they can hike, bike, take the dogs on walks, and enjoy a beer out on their patio year round.
Devin Eberwein PTA, BA
Devin graduated from University Of California, Irvine in 2013 where she played NCAA Division I Water Polo, receiving her Bachelor's degree in Public Health Policy. She started out at Brockton Physical Therapy as an Aide in 2014 where she worked closely with the therapist and fell in love with Physical Therapy. Trevyn urged her to go back to school, so she went back to become a Physical Therapist Assistant. Devin has been here at BPT as a PTA since november of 2017. She enjoys working with athletes, post op, neuro and geriatric patients. She really enjoys being creative with gait and balance activities. She is also just starting to train into wound care under Trevyn. When Devin is not at work she can usually be found chasing her two young boys, Brockton and Mav around and spending time with her husband Jared. As far as hobbies go she still enjoys her chances to get in the pool and play water polo or swim and travel with her family.
Abby Anderson, PTA
Abby Anderson has been instructing fitness and Pilates for over 15 years. Originally from Phoenix, Arizona her interest in fitness began at a young age in her pursuance of dance, cheer, swimming and diving. Abby has helped many clients achieve their mind, body and nutrition goals while working as a Personal Trainer in Orange County. She soon found Pilates and felt it was the perfect combination of dance and fitness which led to her Pilates certification. Later, she completed her BS in Kinesiology from CSUF and recently completed the PTA program from CBU. She started working at Brockton PT in Aug 2021 and became Pelvic Floor trained in Feb 2022. She enjoys treating Pelvic floor where she combines pilates core exercise to treatments to help patients achieve their goals. She strives to teach others that fitness can be enjoyable and that you can be strong and prevent injury throughout any age of life! When she isn't teaching, she likes to travel, craft and paddleboard and spending time with her husband, 2 dogs and cat.
Ashley Burgett, PTA
Ashley is a Riverside local who attended CBU in their first graduating class of their PTA program in 2020. She then went on to finish her Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in sports medicine from CBU in 2021. She started working as a PTA at a pediatrics clinic in October of 2020. She enjoys treating Pediatric and orthopedic patients. However she is always open to learn and expand her knowledge as a PTA. when she is not working she enjoys crafting, camping and spending time with her family.
